A Little Information.

Our official title is Hastings Rosemount Bowls Club, but we are better known just as Rosemount Bowls Club.

We are a small mixed club consisting of approximately 30 Members which unfortunately are mainly men, we are are always on the lookout for new members especially Ladies of whatever standard from complete beginner to the accomplished player. You would need to enjoy being outdoors in a pleasant, friendly & social environment & also enjoy meeting, mixing & making new friends.

All of our Club Fixtures against other Bowls Clubs are what are classed as Friendly Fixtures & are played mostly on the weekends (Saturday & Sunday afternoons from 2pm), which allows for those that work to play.

A few of the Rosemount Committee also organise the Sunday Morning Bowls League (better known as the Pub League) which are Teams of Triples which may be made up of Mixed or Single Gender Players & Currently has 2 Divisions of 10 Teams each, but for those that are a bit more competitive we are affiliated to both Bowls England & Sussex County Bowls who have their own Fixtures & Competitions which you may apply to play in or enter.

We are situated in White Rock Gardens in Hastings within a 15 minute walk from the town centre, where we share a reasonably sized Clubhouse with White Rock BC which is run by the Main Pavilion Company (PAVCO) on behalf of the 2 clubs.

The clubhouse itself consists of Mens and Ladies changing rooms & washroom facilities with lockers that can be obtained for reasonable fee, there is also a seperate Visitors changing room and a Veranda runs almost the entire length of the building which is very nice to sit on when the weather is kind. There is a reasonably roomy Lounge Area with Colour TV, Bar and a small Catering Area which Members may use to make Teas & Coffees etc.

There are 4 greens in the gardens which are Public & apart from Rosemount & White Rock they are also used by Hastings BC (Green 4) & the Visually Impaired BC (Green 3), plus Freedom Leisure have their Gym also in the gardens.

There is a small car park in within the grounds but unfortunately it is Pay and Display with a limit set at 4 hours, if you are a member or a visitor to any of the clubs & you think you are going to be more than the 4 hours you may obtain a free Overstay Permit from the club you are a member of or are visiting. There are another 2 car parks within a very close walking distance (less than 5 minutes), one in Falaise Road and the other in St Margarets Road, both of these are also Pay and Display, unfortunately you cannot obtain an Overstay Permit for The St Margarets Car Park as it is charged at a higher rate than the White Rock Gardens & Falaise Road Car Parks.
